Food in your Backpack??

I love cooking. I love backpacking. I love thinking of amazingly delicious, surprisingly lightweight, and perfectly simple to prepare meals to bring with on my backpacking trips. Ever since I got a professional grade food dehydrator, my eyes have been opened to the possibility of wonderful things you could eat while on the trail.

When you're climbing 1000 feet in a day, or pushing for 16 miles until your next cache on the Appalachian Trial, what else but a great dinner can keep you motivated??

I'm thinking of starting a little side business, where YOU can call me, tell me how many days you'll be on the trail and how many people you will be with, and I'll totally shop, cook, package, and ship your meals, ready to put in your pack. Even better, when doing the long trails, I'll manage shipping your caches to be picked up at post-offices along the way. YOU will not have to worry about a thing. Just think, you're planning time just got cut in half. And I can almost guarantee that you'll eat better than ever.

I want to make each menu a fun and personal endeavor. I will call you, talk to you, find out what you like to eat and how much. Are you a group of college guys that want to head out on a weeklong trip for Spring Break? Are you a lovey dovey couple that want to spend a stress free weekend in the Yosemite Backcountry (yes, you CAN save enough weight in food to justify that wine in your backpack).

If you would be interested, send me an email...I'm just testing the waters before I dive into this sort of venture.

Cheers and Happy Camping.
